The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs on October 13, 2016 approved a nearly Rs 1,955-crore road project to link Jharkhand and Bihar. The 22-km road link will be constructed under the National Highways (Others) on Hybrid Annuity Mode.
The concession period of the project is 19 years, including a construction period of four years. The project includes a four-lane bridge on the Ganga river. This will help in expediting the improvement of infrastructure in Bihar and Jharkhand.
