AJAY KUMAR BHALLA

Senior IAS officer Ajay Ku­mar Bhalla was, on 13 Oc­tober 2016, appointed as The Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT). He succeeded Anup Wadhawan, who was   appointed as Additional Secretary in the commerce minis­try. DGFT is an attached office of the Minisity of Commerce and Industry and is headed by Director General of Foreign Trade. It is entrusted with responsibilities for formulating and implementing the foreign trade policy with the main objective of promoting India's exports.
